What is Canvas?
Canvas is Contis’ white label, combined account and payments platform that is robust, secure, configurable and fully API-enabled.
The depth and breadth of Canvas’ platform, licensing and integration allows it to provide a one-stop-shop solution. Canvas has the licences and certification to operate across the EEA on SEPA and UK payments ‘rails’.

UK/EEA E-money licence
We offer the full suite of licences and passports to power your business in the UK and the EEA.
Contis is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK as an electronic money issuer, passported throughout the EEA.
We are also authorised and regulated by Bank of Lithuania as an electronic money issuer, passported throughout the EEA to enable continuing European operations post Brexit.
We have permission to provide associated payment services including issuing of payment instruments, executing payment transactions and cash services on a payment account. This gives our clients and their customers the ability to have an account, transfer money, make payments, and have access to an e-wallet.
It’s important to note that e-money accounts are not covered by the FSCS.

Geography and currencies
We currently hold licences for issuing within EEA. However, our processing capability is transportable globally. And can be supported by local partner BIN sponsors, offering Contis global reach, if required.
We can issue accounts in GBP, EUR, and USD. For other currencies, please get in touch with us.

Buffer enables your cardholders to make payments from their current account if they have funds available in a second account.
Buffer assesses both accounts, runs an instant approval process and completes the transaction with funds from the second account.
