There’s a burning question in FinTech. Do challenger banks really offer the best experience, or is their success built on clever marketing?

UX experts, Built for Mars, have run a comprehensive study to answer this question once and for all. They’ve logged every minute and click it takes to complete simple processes using accounts from incumbents and leading neo-banks.

Since we’re a B2B offer, Built for Mars didn’t test the UX on our banking app, Canvas. But that’s OK, because we did it ourselves.

And here are the results.

At 39 clicks, Contis proudly sits towards the front of the field. Behind only Revolut and Starling Bank.

At 13 clicks, Contis again sits towards the front of the field.

Our Canvas app was designed with a seamless UX that lets you navigate with speed and ease. But it also runs a delicate balance between simplicity and security. Strong KYC and ‘Tap-on-the-App’ SCA ensure market leading fraud protections – that only cost a couple of extra clicks.

With 99.99% platform up-time and no data breaches in the company’s 12 year history – this focus on security pays dividends for clients.
